German born Christoph Schuler is a commercial and narrative director noted for his compelling work as a visual storyteller.

He has a passion for drama and comedy combined with a strong cinematic style.

Based in Berlin & Munich, Christophs work is best known for his precise aim on the human heart.

From first love between shy geeks to traumatized soldiers in war, Christoph`s work revels in the broad spectrum of human emotion, crafting images of powerful resonance that range from the loud and visceral to the small and nuanced. 


Christoph studied Film Directing at University for Television and Film Munich, 

including an advanced course in commercial film directing. 

He caught the directing bug while studying film & animation at Nuremberg Tech, which gives him a highly trained skillset on postproduction. 

This educational blend of storytelling and postproduction skills helps him ever since to bring out the best in every project. 

Christoph is doing what he loves. Working as a freelance Director, Creative Producer, DOP, Editor and Conceptionist on more than 100 Projects. His background as producer helps him to work as efficient as possible with a clients budget.


In 2018 Christoph has helmed three commercial projects for Volkswagen Autostadt. His client list includes brands as Mercedes-Benz, Siemens, the city of Berlin (BerlinPartner) and Ohropax.


His narrative short film "Gefallen / Fallen" kickstarted his career and won at Hamptons International Film Festival, New Yorks Stony Brook Film Festival and Giff Washington Film Festival.  


„Give love a chance“, his comedy spot for Ohropax, has earned him „Best Commercial“ at "Kurz und Schön", „Best Commercial Silver“ at "Spotlight Festival“ and a nomination for the "First Steps Award“.


Christoph recently finished his first feature screenplay "Wolfs" which was shortlisted for the German Screenplay Award in 2018.

Christoph`s films have been selected for Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Rhode Island Film Festival, Max Ophüls Film Festival and prestigious Camerimage Festival which celebrates the best looking films in the world.
